Due to the emergency situation in Tibet, Tibetan Parliament in Exile in association with the Kashag has initiated the Tibetan Solidarity Committee during the fifth session of the Parliament. Several numbers of activities were organized in every Tibetan society under the leadership of the Committee.

A few years ago, a well-known liberal Chinese intellectual told me that the Communist Party of China is so shrewd that even if an official smiles at you, he was told to do so a month prior to your meeting. Everything is calculated and nothing is left to chance. Recalling this advice, I have an uncanny suspicion about the timing of the vitriolic press conference, a week prior to the Special Meeting in Dharamsala, by the very Chinese officials engaged in dialogue with the envoys of HH the Dalai Lama. I fear it could be an entrapment or bait to provoke Tibetans, especially those attending the Special Meeting in Dharamsala.

188: Nuns and monks are real Tibetan heroes:
Monks and nuns are always in majority both inside and outside Tibet to participate or lead any activity for the common cause of Tibet. They are also majority in sacrificing lives for Tibet. What I am eager to highlight here is that since March 10 this year, there have been several different programs and activities for the cause of Tibet both inside and outside Tibet and majority of the leaders and participants are monks and nuns.
