ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2013-2014
This is to notify that the entrance examination for the new admission during the forthcoming academic session 2013-2014 for the following courses will be held on 2nd and 3rd July, 2013 in the University.
First year of Purva Madhayama in Buddhist
Philosophy 37 seats
Eligibility conditions for the above course:
a) The most important condition is that the student must have strong aspiration to study Buddhist and Tibetan Studies. Thereafter, the following conditions should be fulfilled.
b) Candidates who have passed VIII standard from a recognized institution with Tibetan Language or without Tibetan Language as a subject, but possesses knowledge of Tibetan Language equivalent to standard VIII will be eligible to appear in the entrance test. Besides, knowledge of either English or Hindi equivalent to standard VIII is also required.
c) Admission will be granted to successful candidates based on marks obtained in the entrance examination and availability of seats, in accordance with the admission rules.
d) The reservation of seats for SC/ST/Physically handicapped candidates is as per UGC norms.
The prescribed Admission Form for appearing in the entrance examination along with the syllabus can be downloaded from the University’s website: www.cuts.ac.in The prescribed admission form duly filled up and accompanied with photocopies of all the relevant documents e.g. Marksheet, fitness, reservation certificate and Caste Certificate etc. along with Demand draft of Rs. 50/- in favour of Registrar, Central University of Tibetan Studies, Sarnath, Varanasi may be addressed directly to:-

The application form should reach to this office on or before 15th June, 2013 (or with late fee charge of Rs 25/- upto 20th June, 2013). ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR THE FINE ARTS COURSE
This is to notify that the entrance examination for the new admission during the forthcoming academic session 2012-2013 for Traditional Fine Arts course will be held 2nd, 3rd and 4th July, 2013 in the University. (The University provides 2 years Pre-University Course (PUC), 3 years of Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and 2 year of Master of Fine Arts (MFA)
Curriculum:
1. Painting,woodcraft and Sculpture
2. History and Philosophy of Art
3. Buddhist Philosophy
4. Tibetan Literature
5. English/Hindi
Eligibility Condition:
a) Candidates must have passed 10th standard prescribed by Central Boards or State Boards or by a recognized Institution.
b) The candidate must have knowledge of Tibetan Language & English or Hindi equivalent to 10th standard. If the school or Institution from which the candidate has passed the 10th grade does not provide course on Tibetan language, the candidate can produce a certificate qualifying himself/herself having knowledge of Tibetan language of 10th standard from a recognized Institute.
c) The candidate must have strong enthusiasm in learning arts and capability to pursue the subject.
d) The reservation of seats for SC/ST/Physically handicapped candidates is as per UGC norms.
The admission will be provided as per the admission rules of the University. The total number of intake of students will be 10 (5 each in painting and woodcraft).
