A section of opinions sent by Tibetans inside Tibet:
H.H.The Dalai Lama is my Guru and I can even sacrifice my life for him. Although I can’t do anything big but for the sake of His Holiness, there is not even a slight hesitation in me to participate in any peaceful demonstration or even to sacrifice my own life.
2) A person like me has not got any opportunity so far to sacrifice life for good cause but for the sake of the well being of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, I’ll be extremely happy to sacrifice my life. That’ll be the source of eternal happiness to me. I am not getting chance to show my courage and bravery to Chinese and if I get then I’ll definitely show it to them. I Dhudul Dorjee reached 46 now. You H.H.The Dalai Lama have to live till Tibet is owned by Tibetans themselves. Therefore, I wholeheartedly offer my remaining lifespan, fortune and power to you, H.H.The Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso. If you live long life then not only I’ll be happy but also there will be rays of hope and happiness in the whole world.
3) Under Chinese oppression, though there are people who may say that they don’t love Tibet but there is not even a single Tibetan whose mind is completely transformed. We are very grateful to you H.H.The Dalai Lama for working so hard for us. We are not at all happy under the communist regime of China. Although we’ve some good buildings around but the Chinese government show off these buildings to the world saying they’ve built them, but I do hope and wish that you people come and see our real condition, take photos and then publicize the fact and true story to the world. As far as myself is concerned, I must do something for Tibet and it’s independence but being devoid of any education, power and strategy, I am ready to sacrifice my life for the sake of Tibet and its independence. I’m ready to come anywhere if called. I’ve not a slight regret even to set my body into fire. These days without proper education, it is difficult to know the proper way of raising slogan and how to sacrifice one’s life for the sake of one’s motherland. Even if I die, I have sent my two children to school for H.H.The Dalai Lama and Tibet. One is doing quiet well in studies but the second is not much good in studies and I wonder whether he’ll be of some help to our motherland or not.
4) It is difficult for Tibet to rise up and lift up head from the power of powerful country like China. It is difficult for us to move a little under the gun-point of Chinese armed police here in Tibet. We the Tibetans inside Tibet need more assistance from people across the world. We possess our own unique tradition, customs and language to have our own autonomous region. We have no freedom at all under the Chinese rule. It is my ultimate hope that we’ll be able to obtain our autonomous region with the help of countries across the world.
5) Tibet is a home of Tibetan race but there is no protector or defender and the main reason behind this situation is the year 1958. Unfortunately, the time has reached where people like me don’t know the reason properly. Freedom is much awaited inside Tibet. Therefore, it is my deep-hearted hope that H.H.The Dalai Lama must come to this land of Tibetan race.
6) If H.H.The Dalai Lama could return to Tibet then we have no regret even if all of us are killed by Chinese. Among the general public, the people talk only about such sacrifices and always ready to take part in any uprising movement. Everyone inside Tibet including the whole general public and the monasteries are hopefully waiting for his return. On behalf of the whole Tibetans at large and Kham Serta in particular, I wholeheartedly hope and wish for the return of His Holiness to Tibet. I’ve dreamt His Holiness thrice in my life.
7) It is utmost important for all the Tibetans both inside and outside Tibet to meet each other and get united. It is equally essential for all the peoples and the nations of world to help and support Tibetan race and for the return of H.H.The Dalai Lama to his own homeland.
8) As far as Tibet is concerned, there is immense of sufferings and difficulties. Tibetans are minority. There is no one who listens the problems of Tibetans. Even such small recording work is done, it has to be kept secret. There is no support from nation. None is there to listen our problems and difficulties. The hope of Tibet’s freedom depends on the international support. The international governments and organizations need to come to have intimate knowledge of the real situation of Tibetans inside Tibet and then to enable the Snow Land to free. We hope to have audience with our Root Guru H.H.The Dalai Lama.
9) I have great hope and affection to H.H.The Dalai Lama and Tibetans outside Tibet. We are like belonging to one family separated into two groups. There are some people who are living alone leaving parents or children back home. His Holiness has been struggling hard outside for the sake of Tibet and Tibetans. I hope and wish that all his wishes and dreams fulfill at the earliest. We Tibetans have great hope for his long life. It is my hope, it is hope of all Tibetans that one day, all the Tibetans will be reunited in our homeland and everyone will take control of Tibetan education, land, mountain, water, forest, etc. and will have our own free land. We’ll restore our old law for the land and if necessary, we’ll make new law too. We’ll have our own script, language, customs, traditional dresses, etc. We the Tibetan race will be reunited as before into one family.
The Tibet Express News Agency has transcribed sounds from the second part of the documentary film called “Leaving Fear Behind” and summarized it and distributed among the people.
“Leaving fear behind” is a documentary film recorded by Dhondup Wangchen and Jigmey Lotsa. They have recorded different opinions on Tibet issue from around 108 Tibetans inside Tibet.
